Through this casual, mix and mingle type setting we hope to celebrate the rich Islamic tradition of artistic expression. We will have many different types of visual art, from fashion to film, on display as well as short presentations by some of the artists about their work.

This past weekend March 26-29, 2010 was spent in a haze at Hofstra University where MISTNY 2010 was held. I was the ARTS category head for the past two years, and each year i am amazed to see the work these high school students come up with. The work these students produce Mashallah is amazing, with no education or background in these fields. Their work is based on pure talent, and TALENT it is!
