A weekend of interactive workshops and 26 different competitions in the areas of Arts, Knowledge, Writing, Oratory, Sports, and more! WINNERS of each competition continue on to represent their state in the national MIST competition (Houston, TX)

An Abaya A Month-Coming in March
Thursday, February 12th, 2009Once a month IslamicGems comes out with a great new design for an abaya and puts it up for sale on their site. Each month there is a new creation for sale and only sold during that month.

This is a black jersey knit material with silver and gray motifs enhanced with sparkles. Used on the bottom of the abaya and 1/4th of sleeves from the wrist up.

This is a black jersey knit fabric with silver/gray motifs and sparkles. Crunched giving a ruched effect when worn to give a glamorous addition. Takes up 1/4 of the sleeve from the wrist up.

This is a jersey cotton mix material. Leafy black vines going diagonal across the abaya enhanced with silver sparkle vines. This material makes up bulk of the abaya plus 3/4th of the upper part of the sleeves.
